Ground Up Cafe

Amazing food, fast and friendly service! The table was clean and plenty of shade when we sat outside:) Recommend the steak sandwich + the chips are so yum!

Beautiful alleyway Cafe. Blocked by sun so would be great spot during the summer. Staff are extraordinarily friendly, service was great, I only had a hot chocolate and hash browns for food but hot chocolate was exceptional. A lot of customers as well but food came out quickly. Highly recommend!

You get the vibe even before you get there. On the street you can see black umbrellas down the lane with wooden tables. The walls are painted outside so you have the feeling you're in another country. Tastes are great, I ordered sweetcorn fritters. The salsa was good but portion size wasn't great. The fritters were overly browned but tasted was okay.

The BEST breakfast toastie in toowoomba! The gluten free bread option is so tasty. they have a meal deal with a complimentary drink with it, very budget friendly and worth the outing if you’re wanting quite time to yourself or to catchup with friends xx

Starting with overall comment of “yum”. cool winter morning this place offers a warm cosy atmosphere with an excellent range of breakfast/brunch flavours to suite most palates. After much deliberation, we drilled the menu down to 4 options but went with the hangover rosti with pulled pork, and the chilli scamble (see pics for your drool inducing vibes). Small critics would involve the need for an extra poached egg on the rosti dish to allow the creamy yoke to balance out the salty tang of the pulled pork and a little more whipped feta to ease and compliment the delicious fresh chilli on the scram. Just being picky though, this place is a winner. cheers.

Google searched a cafe for lunch as we headed to Toowoomba and the visual vibe of this place just called me. Hidden in this little alley way it was full of industrial and artistic character. It was so hard to pick from the menu as there were so many tasty options, the coffee was great service was amazing and the food was delicious. I had the chilli scrambled eggs with added bacon. Its a must eat at cafe for sure

Ground Up has been a Toowoomba staple for 10+ years, credited with raising the benchmark of Toowoomba’s coffee experience since opening. Wildly popular during the peak hours in the morning and lunchtime, due to the fact that it’s conveniently situated in the CBD, between Grand Central Shopping Centre and Ruthven Street. 100% recommend for coffee and breakfast, brunch to lunch, being mindful that it can look empty to 200% capacity in an eye-blink. Take-away orders are served outside, but you have to order inside. :) Enjoy

Discovered Ground up Cafe 10-12 years ago when visiting mum. It’s the only place I go to each time I’m up from Sydney. The coffee in particular never disappoints. Last week I asked if they could grind beans for my small “holiday” machine. The barista checked the specs of my machine then ground the beans. He was bang on. Enjoying great coffee at Coolie.
